It's not an understatement when I say my dogs are a huge portion on my life. To be honest, when you have an usual number of animals you should be dedicated -and love it. Siberians have been an amazing experience which I wouldn't trade for the world.
Foremost they are wonderful companions with the most intricate personas. If they are not snuggled up on your lap they are usually testing your patients; be it plotting an underground escape from the yard, tormenting their feline counterparts or demolishing the family couch. Siberians are too intelligent for their own good at times. But for some reason or another I keep going back for more.
Several years ago my first Siberian (Heidi) came to me, and to this day I still say she defied all stereotypes.
After having such a good experience with that she-sibe the 'potato chip syndrome' kicked in. The majority of our crew consists of run-of-the-mill built sibes but their hearts outweigh their imperfections ten-fold.
In mid 2005 I decided to enter the competitive side of the breed by taking interest in Dog Conformation. Competeing is now like an addiction with no end in sight -which is just the way I want it :) I try my best to see the potential in all of our sibes, show quality or not. Simply, I strive to make my "kids" happy no matter if it's pulling, back-packing, agility, obedience, show or just kicking back on the couch watching Soaps with mama.
